Day one
Ok, so i recently became a scooter/Lambretta enthusiast after a couple bored days at work spent surfing different sites and blogs. I decided it was time to take a very uneducated plunge and go ahead and try to find myself a scoot. I posted a want add and received a couple replies from around the southern Ontario region. I found one that was really intriguing in Niagara Falls and continued my pursuit. I picked this up in Niagara Falls on June 28 for $900. It's a 1963 Lambretta TV175, with an Li150 engine and SX200 side panels. The original plan was to get it running and drive it for the rest of the summer before stripping it down this winter and doing a complete resto. I started the process by taking off the carb and it is completely gummed up along with the fuel tank. The ignition system is also shot so odds of getting it running right away are not good. And so begins the tear down process. A couple tuning mods to be made are a 200 or 225cc cylinder conversion, new exhaust and a bigger carb. Also anything else that needs to be redone will be done, breaks, shocks, the seat, paint, wiring, cables, etc. if anyone has any suggestions please don't hesitate to chime in.
